Alternative Airports
Wales is easily reached by the London airports, in particular London Heathrow which is only a 2.5 hour journey from Cardiff. The heathrow express is an excellent train service which operates between the airport and London Paddington train station (approx 25 minutes). From here there are regular and direct trains to Cardiff Central train station. The train journey is also particularly pleasant.
